BLAZE
***
NAME: Blaze
NICKNAMES: -
GENDER: Male
AGE: 25
SPEICES: Blaziken
ABILITY: Blaze - Ups the user's fire-type attacks if HP is under 1/4th
HOME: Brann; however, he is originally from somewhere else other then Brann, he just doesn't feel like telling the truth at the moment.
OCCUPATION: Entertainer/Story Teller - this is because Blaze likes to travel, therefore has a few stories to tell to people who are willing to listen.
THEME SONG: Behind Blue Eyes - Limp Bizkit; Falling Inside the Black - Skillet; How to Save a Life - The Fray; I Write Sins, Not Tragedies - Panic! at the Disco;
APPERANCE: Blaze looks like any normal Blaziken you would find; he stands at roughly six feet and five inches, with an array of red, beige, and yellow coloring the correct parts of his body; at first glance, he looks like a normal Blaziken, and at heart he is. There are often bandages on his fists from where he extremely practices martial arts. Out of the two red long "spikes" sticking out in a V shape above his head, the left one looks as if it has been broken off by an inch or so due to a fight. Where his long V-shaped hair on his back stands, he has a long scar zig-zagging across them; they are long as a male's would thought to be.
Often Blaze is seen carrying around a backpack with the needed items in it; it is all torn up, and most are amazed that is still holds together. While Blaze says that the bag is rightfully his, many other Pokemon believe otherwise.
PERSONALITY:
Cruel; In a sense, Blaze is a very cruel Pokemon; he only thinks about him self, and often will take someone out if it is necessary. If he doesn't get what he wants, unless it's very unimportant in a sense, he will take it by force; and he doesn't care who he takes it from, either. He will usually look with a blind eye to anyone that needs help, and if he does end up helping them, he never meant anything by it; he either wanted something from you in the first place, or he was just feeling generous, which is fairly rare anyway. He often only thinks of him self, and therefore will rarely take care of anyone but him self. He will sometimes choose to simply leave them rather than staying behind and trying to help them.
A Loner; If anything, Blaze likes to spend his time being alone; he doesn't like the company of others, and when around others, often will sit alone in a corner - at least metaphorically - and try not to catch anyone's eye. If you happen to catch him traveling with someone, it might be one of two reasons; the first reason being that that person just won't leave him alone. He has met a few Pokemon that just didn't get the signals that he didn't want them around. The second reason is that he needs something out of that certain person; weather it be an item or to get to some place, he's basically simply using them to for a specific thing or place. A not nice thing to do, however when you beleive that you really need that thing you're getting, then that someone can be really helpful.
Quiet; Blaze is not the one to become talkative instantly around others; he'd rather loose his voice box all together than talk to others. Arceus knows how long it's been since he's talked, anyway. Blaze isn't the one to start a conversation either; and even if someone else starts it, the conversation most likely will not last long; by the end - or near end - Blaze will either make extremely small talk, or simply shut up and leave. Well, if you are talking about something that he isn't interested in; if you're talking about something that he'd like to hear, he's all ears; which is pretty strange, considering that he really doesn't like to talk in the first place. That's usually the first sign that he's up to something, really.
A Soft Side; However cruel and demeaning Blaze might act around others, he of course has a soft side on him; and the strangest thing is that, that soft side mostly has to do with children. This may be why he likes to tell stories of grand adventurers, horrid monsters, and the such; they mostly bring in the youngsters, and mostly, he has fun with it as well. It's the strange thing, however, considering that he doesn't like being around others; maybe it's because he really didn't have a childhood, and that for the fact of he is also thinking of adoption for having a child, if anything. Maybe it's because of his childhood, as said before, however it may be also because he doesn't want someone else to have the same childhood as him and end up like he has.

HISTORY: Blaze had what was called an almost normal life. He was born somewhere in a cave of some sort, though he doesn't remember where is was exactly. He was born to two Blazkien, Kenan and Crystal. He had a older brother, a Combusken by the name of Flame, because of his intense heat. Both parents were suprised at how poorly he walked, even for a Torchic. He always fell too much and always hurt him self when he was young. Most he knew him thought that he was born with some sort of condition in his legs, and that he could never walk correctly in his life. His brother was the only one who didn't seem to notice. He had always wanted a younger sibling, no matter the flaws. Their parents were a bit over protective over their new son as well, thinking he was going to die one of these days because of his condition.
Though, he sure as hell proved them wrong.
It was a warm summer's day, nearly one week after Blaze's birth. His parents couldn't think of the right name for him, and any name that they did think of, Flame refused. Flame, that day, had taken his brother out to play in some woods while his parent forged for food. They were both having fun, though Blaze kept tripping and falling every so often. He was getting the hang of walking, though his "condition" was still getting to him. Apples were just about everywhere, making it easy for both Pokemon to get food when they were hungry. And after a long while of playing, both of their stomach were growling. It was Flame, though, who had to pick the apples, since his brother couldn't jump as high as he could. As Blaze now recalls it, it he knew he should've tried to help. Though, Flame ended picking out the wrong apple when he jumped up. As he came falling down, so did a Kakuna.
The Pokemon began crying for help, thinking it was being attacked by some Pokemon that wanted to eat it. In an instant, a houred of Beedrill cam swarming down on the two Pokemon. Flame paniced, grabbing his younger brother and fleeing. Though the Beedrill didn't want to give up just yet, chasing after to two Pokemon as Blaze kept caling for his parents. Miracuaslly, their parents could hear their sons from where they were from, though they thought it would be too late when they got there. Still, they ran as hard as they could to find their sons. Mean while, Flame knew he couldn't keep running, eventually slidding onto his knees. He tried to tell Blaze to run, though, even stubborn at that age, wouldn't go. As the swarm closed in, Flame thought they were both done for. But all of a sudden - and suprisingly - a burst of fire that looked like a Flame Thrower shot towards the hored, litteralythrowing them to the ground.
Blaze was shaking furiously when his brother looked down at him, the small Pokemon saying that he had to do it because he didn't want to his brother to "get dead." His parents only saw a glimpse of the flame, though their father said it looked like some kind of "Blazing Fury" when the Flame Thrower shot into the air. And amazingly, that's how Blaze got his name.
It was a few weeks after Blaze's little incedent when he was finnaly able to walk well. His whole family was amazed at his power at that age. He seemed strong enough with Fire-Type moves to be called Blaze, though his brother still liked calling him "Blazing Fury" every so often. It was sort of funny, actualy, when you really realize that small truely is power at some point. Though who knew that the "some point" would be right then and there! Blaze was just happy to be normal again. There was plenty of Pokemon his age to play with while his parents were out, his brother keeping a close eye on him while he hung out with his own friends, just training or talking with them. Though most thought that Blaze could've been a hero, he shunned that out, even as a young Torchic.
He thought he had a good life at this age, nothing bad ever happening except for the one Beedrill acciedent. He always had someone watching over him at all times, weather it be his parents, his brother, or his friend's parents. He could run around all day without worrying too much about what had happend the days he got to have fun. It was only a few months after his birth that he learned what could happen to him if he wasn't careful of where he went.
It was hot out. It was fall. Leaves were falling beautifully down onto the ground. He had decided to play by the river that day while his parents watched. They had sort of moved there for the winter I guess you could say. It was going to be slightly warmer there, so they wouldn't freeze much because of it. They had their food stashed away in a cave while they were to sleep out side for the remainder of the hot season. Blaze thought it was always fun to look at his reflection in the water, and wonder what he would look like when he was older. Most Pokemon would always wonder that, though he never knew why. He had always just caught on to those things. It was strange, really, to wonder if you would look different than the other Pokemon when you evolved, or if you would look the same as your speices. He never knew why, but Blaze always thought of ti to be fun when he thought of how he would look when he was older.
He didn't know how, but some time in the night, while everyone was sleeping, he snuck back over to the stream to look at his reflection again. His parents told him never to get up by him self and wander off, even though his family was hidden in the woods only a few several feet away. The moon was shining brightly in the night sky, and he thought of it to be beautiful, looking at it every so often in the sky and then in the water. Plenty of water types, such as Feebas, Magikarp and Remoraid, swam by splashing a few droplets of water on the young Pokemon, making him laugh. His laugh must've been heard, too, because the next thing he knew he heard growling, and he knew it wasn't his stomach.
He remembered looking over as his whole body shook, seeing red eyes appearing in a bush not so far away from him. A Houndoom had stepped out, snarling and growling at the small Torchic. It's nose twitched, meaning that it smelled the food that his family had stashed away. And quite frankly, it looked hungry, too. He would've of been so afraid of one, knowing he could yell and wake up his parents. They could take one or two, he knew. But what frightened him the most was that as the first one stepped out of the bushes to confront him, a few more started to follow. There were about five or sixe that circled him slightly, exaining him as another went towards the cavem crouching slightly. He gave a loud cry, standing up to see he was only 1/10th's hte size of these dog-like Pokemon, the leader drooling with hunger.
One lunged at him, making him stumble and fall backwards. His head hung over the small ledge, the water rushing not inches below his head as the water trickled on the featehres on his head. As he looked up, another one of the Houndoom lunged at him, but this time, only to get smacked down by a Mach Punch. As he looked up, he realized his father standing soem distance away, his fist still in the air, there to save him. He was almost glad, if it hadn't been for the fact that all of the Houndoom that surrounded him turned quickly to face his father. He proabaly looked like a more worthy opponet to them, or a better meal. Either way, they Houndoom seemed to be more interesed in his father, turning as they snarled loudly. Blaze was awed as he crouched near the stream, shaking furosiouly. He even failed to notice the few Magikarp that sawm up to see what was going on. Within an instant, a Houndoom lunged, his father taking a few strides back before releasing a devstating blow from the foot to the Pokemon's jaw, sending it yelping to the ground. He hollared something - to this day Blaze can never remember - to him. Blaze was only stunned, shaking like a man Pokemon.
His mother seemed to come out of nowhere as another one lunged at his father, releasing a Flamethrower from his jaws. Blaze could feeling him self being suddenly scooped up, his eye shuttering before he looked up, his brother looking at his parents with worried eyes. His mother called to them, telling Flame to run while they held the pack off. His brother tried to refruse, Blaze still too stunned to say a danm word. And 'till this day, he knew he should've. But his mother made the wrong move before Flame could even finish his stentence, two Houndoom jolting towards the both of them. They seemed important enough, didn't they? Plus, they could make tasty meals.
Great for Blaze an' Flame, eh?
In an instant, Blaze's older brother made a dash for it, clutching him tight. He could hear the growling, the feet trampling the grass behind them, and all at once Blaze's heart again behind to go wild. They were going die. They were totaly going to die. At least, that's what ran through Blaze's mind. Woods rose up all around them, Blaze's heart practicaly thudding out of his chest. Though Flame's seemed harder in his chest, the beat ringing in Blaze's ears drums as the sound of gaining Houndoom scaring him even more.
But then, it all pretty much happend.
Flame skidded to a stop, quickly placing his brother on the grassy ground. Trees and river were on either side of them, making it almost hard enough to escape either way. To Blaze, Flame looked almost happily disapointed, giving a weak smile to his younger brother. And out of the blue - or at least that's what Blaze thought - Flame told him to run. Blaze disagreed, knowing that he could hardly walk right. But mainly because he didn't want to his brother to die. Not here. Not now. But, almost forcefully, Flame pushed his brother into a bush as the Houndoom came rushing up, mouths dripping with siliva as they snarled, looking almost hungrily at the larger "meal" that was seen in plain sight.
"Run, now!
Thos were the last words Blaze heard from his brother before he sent a burst of fire his way, Blaze quick to turn and dodge it. He ran as his little feet and legs could carry him, the sounds of battling disapearing behind him. His lungs burned, his feet ached by the time he came to a stop, this time by a pond. It actualy gave off a slight glow, mainly by the Volbeat and Illumise that floated above it. Blaze fell backwards at the moment, and began sobbing in an instant. They were all gone, they had to be. All of his family, his friends, just gone. Just like that. Many Pokemon - including water-types - came up to help, some younger ones cirling around the crying Torchic. He really didn't know what to say.
Just that he wanted to go home.
He ended up telling them - the wild Pokemon that decided to stay and help - everything that night. He shivered and shook as he repeated the events all in order. Many felt sympathy for the little tyke, wanting him to stay there with them. Others thought he'd bring the Houndoom with him if he stayed much longer, not wanting to battle those feroious beastest. Either way, later that night, when everyone went to bed, Blaze snuck away from everyone. He hadn't a clue where he was going. He didn't want to go where his "den" was, or where his brother dropped him off, thinking he'd see their dead bodies and want to throw him self in the river. He just liked thinking that they were still alive, and that he'd find them one day. He just hoped so.
Hell, he practicaly knew so.*****
It's been a real long time since that's happend. Well atleast to Blaze, it has. He'd never went back there, not since that night. He'd began training him self soon after he left. He never really made any permenate friends, fearing that that'd turn on him any day. And if he ever did, then he'd forgotten about them already. He soon evolved into a Combusken, he himself almost dreading that fact that he looked like his brother. Sure, he got in a few tussles because of what he did at that age as well. Kind've funny really. He soon evolved into a Blaziken, trying to adapt to his new power and speed. Didn't work out too well, though.
He get into a tussel with a Nidoking once, mainly because he tried to steal his food, Blaze was so starved. He managed to escape with his life, but earned a few scares because of his foolish mistake. So really, now you can see what has happend to Blaze to make him who he his. Hope you enjoyed it, and I hope you don't expect too much out of him. 'Cause he has a heart of steel. So I dare you to get through to him.
He's really hot headed.
